Sticky Messages
Keep important messages pinned to the bottom of any channel. Sticky messages automatically re-post themselves after a configurable number of new messages, ensuring your announcements and rules are always visible.
Overview
Sticky messages work like pinned messages on steroids. Instead of being buried in the pins menu, they stay at the very bottom of the channel - always in view. When enough new messages are sent, the old sticky is deleted and a fresh one is posted.
Sticky Message
Please read the rules before posting. Be respectful and have fun!
Setting Up a Sticky Message
Creating a sticky message is quick and simple. You need the Manage Messages permission to use sticky commands.
Choose a channel
Navigate to the channel where you want the sticky, or specify it with the channel option.
Set the sticky
Use /sticky set with your message content. Optionally set a color and message interval.
Done!
The sticky will appear immediately and re-post itself whenever the interval is reached.
/sticky set message:Please read the rules before posting!/sticky set message:Welcome to #general! channel:#general color:#00A896 interval:5Configuration Options
Managing Stickies
Once a sticky is set, you can edit its content, toggle it on/off, or remove it entirely.
Editing
Update the message, color, or interval of an existing sticky without removing and recreating it:
/sticky edit message:Updated rules - be kind and have fun!/sticky edit message:Same rules, new look color:#FFD700 interval:10Toggling
Temporarily disable a sticky without deleting it. Toggle it back on whenever you're ready:
/sticky toggle channel:#announcementsRemoving
Permanently remove a sticky message from a channel:
/sticky remove channel:#generalListing All Stickies
View all sticky messages configured in your server:
/sticky listDashboard Management
You can also manage sticky messages from the web dashboard. Navigate to your server's dashboard and open the Sticky Messages page from the sidebar.
Stickies created from the dashboard take effect immediately - no bot restart required. Each channel can only have one sticky message at a time.
